Visit us every 6 months for an assessment
Keep your smile healthy from top to bottom! Twice-a-year dental exams and cleanings prevent and target potential issues. Our team uses the most high-tech detection devices available, allowing us to catch developing problems before they’re visible to the naked eye.
The best part about these routine visits with Dr. Starr and our hygienists? The slippery clean feeling of your teeth when you leave. It can’t be beat!
Professional cleaning
Our hygienists are friendly, thorough, and oh so gentle. After your teeth are tartar-free, we’ll give them a polish for extra sparkle.
Early cavity detection
X-rays and a 3D intraoral scanner produce high-definition, full-color photos of your teeth and gums. Plus, high-tech, 100% radiation-free technology helps us catch even the smallest cavity.
Oral cancer & gum disease screening
Our team will do a full oral cancer and periodontal assessment, noting any recession, pocketing, bleeding, or other issues.
Treatment assessment
We’ll help you understand what treatments you need and kick-start a personalized plan to get you on the road to a healthier YOU.
We’re dedicated to your safety & comfort
Our team prioritizes patient safety above all else. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve expanded safety measures to ensure peace-of-mind for our patients, staff, and community.

At-home dental care tips from our hygienists
Keeping your smile healthy and clean starts with a consistent oral hygiene routine. Here’s the most common advice we give our patients:
Brush twice a day for 2 minutes — after breakfast and before bed are the optimal times
Use a soft-bristle toothbrush, and extra points for using an electric toothbrush!
Don’t skip the floss. Try a hand-held flosser or water flosser if you’re having trouble with string floss
Ask us for help when choosing a mouthwash or specialty toothpaste
Our patients enjoy their visits!

You ask, we answer

Why do you need to go to the dentist every 6 months?
Visiting us every 6 months (or as directed by our team) is good for your smile and for your wallet. Regular preventive care and assessments will help us catch issues while they’re still small, which typically requires a more affordable and less-invasive fix. Plus, we love seeing you and helping keep your smile looking beautiful!

What should you expect when getting your teeth cleaned?
Your dental hygienist will make sure you’re comfortable before gently removing plaque and tartar from around your gum line and between your teeth. We’ll also polsih your teeth with a high-tech electric brush and end by flossing. Most cleaning and exam appointments take less than an hour.

Is a dental cleaning painful?
Most of our patients find their dental cleaning appointments to be comfortable and relaxing. We recognize that many people suffer from dental anxiety and stress. Our team is dedicated to treating you with the same level of care we’d want for our own family. We’re attentive to your needs and will help you feel at ease from start to finish. We also offer nitrous sedation to help you feel relaxed.

How much does a dental cleaning cost?
Most dental insurance plans cover your twice-a-year dental cleanings. For those without insurance, we offer a great in-house dental coverage plan. No deductibles, no maximum benefit, no waiting periods or claims to file — just incredible coverage, including 20% off all x-rays and restorative dental care.
