Dr. Starr is a graduate of Gannon University and Georgetown School of Dentistry. In 1977 he began his private practice in Erie, PA and has remained on the cutting edge of dentistry, embracing new technologies as they became available.Dr. Starr was the first dentist to introduce the American Dental Laser to the city in 1990 when the FDA approved the Nd Yag Laser. He then went on to teach for the company for 3 years.
Dr. Starr was also the first dentist to introduce Air Abrasion technology to Erie when it achieved FDA approval.He has continued to remain in the forefront with new technologies, being the only dentist in Erie with 4 different lasers of different wavelengths.
In addition, Laser Dentistry of Erie offers the latest in digital x-rays, which limits the patient's radiation exposure to less than 90% of current methods. The practice, also, offers computerized local anesthesia, and a complete digital photography system including computerized patient education videos.
